This site processes reservations and payments for Tren Crucero train tour in Ecuador under agreement between Palace Tours and Tren Ecuador. Payments are processed by Palace Tours in USA and the credit card statement will mention "PALACE TOURS" as the vendor once the booking is processed.
Full payment is required at the time of payment
- Cancellations up to 60 days prior to departure, no fees applies (5% administration fees applies)
- Cancellations between 59 days or less or no show the day of departure, a 100% cancellation fee applies.
- Date changes: up to 30 days without fees but upon approval from Tren Ecuador management.
- 30 days or less, is considered a a full cancellation.
No-Shows: In the event of a no-show for all or part of a tour, this will be treated as a cancellation and the 100% cancellation Fees remains in effect, and no refunds, either full or partial, will be due back to the client.
A NOTE ABOUT CANCELLATION FOR ALL TOURS / RESERVATIONS
Because of the special nature of the programs, suppliers impose rigid cancellation fees; please be aware that TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS / TREN ECUADOR has no control over such fees and cannot consider to make any exceptions to these charges. Any additional cancellation fees required by the supplier will be informed to the passenger within 30 days of the cancellation.
In the event that a Client cancels his / her tour, the refund of any exchanged currency will be dependent on exchange rates at time of cancellation. If the foreign currency weakens relative to the US$, the rate of exchange on the date of cancellation / modification will be applied to calculate the refund. Any cancellation fees as per the terms and conditions will apply. In the event that a tour is canceled through no action of the Client, the Client will receive a full refund of American dollars.
Note: ALL cancellations must be received by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS / TREN ECUADOR in writing; cancellation/s will be effective when the copy is received by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS, regardless of the date in which it is sent by the canceling party. To protect against cancellation charges, we strongly recommend purchasing Trip Cancellation Protection and Travel Interruption Insurance (see Insurance clause).
All itineraries are approximate and subject to change based on availability and conditions at the destination.
The prices do not include VAT (For Ecuador residents ONLY – not applicable for international guests)
What your journey prices includes:
- Accommodations in haciendas/hotels for the four nights you tour Ecuador with Tren Crucero;* all meals for the duration of your tour (except dinner on day 4 - on your own); complimentary water, tea, coffee, juices, snacks, and fruits on board the train; transportation to and from, and participation in, off-train excursions as described in the tour itinerary as well as the services of bilingual (Spanish and English) guides.
What your journey price DOES NOT include:
- Airfare (Domestic or international); visa fees; travel insurance fees; alcoholic beverages; gratuities; additional toiletries; laundry service fees; any items of a personal nature, such as souvenirs; any items not specifically described in the tour itinerary.
- Unless specifically mentioned, any pre- or post-tour accommodations, transfers to and from hotels at the beginning and end of the tour, or tour extensions are not included in the price of your journey.
- All Ecuadorian citizens participating in this excursion must pay an additional tax equivalent to 14% of their total tour price.

PRICES, RATES & FARES
Prices / rates are shown and paid in American dollars
All passengers must be in possession of a valid passport; its validity must be for six (6) months beyond the re-entry date into the passenger’s home country. A visa or visas may be required for travel to Ecuador for some nationals. It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that all his or her visa and passport requirements are met.
TOUR INFORMATION & DOCUMENTS
Acknowledgement of booking will be sent immediately upon initiation of a reservation. Final tour documents consisting of detailed tour itinerary, tour vouchers, hotel vouchers, airline electronic ticket (“e-ticket”) copies etc. as applicable are dispatched electronically from our offices approximately 21–30 days prior to departure.
UNUSED TOUR ITEMS
No refund will be made for any unused accommodations, missed meals, transportation segments, cruise portions, sightseeing tours or any other unused service. Such unused items are neither refundable nor exchangeable (no exceptions).
TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance that protects you and your investment in the event of a sudden emergency before or during your trip and coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, illness, injury, and damage, loss or theft of baggage, as well as emergency assistance. Travel insurance can be purchased through TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS. TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS is proud to offer insurance plans from Travelex. Plans available vary by country and state of residency; please contact TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS for more information or visit www.palacetours.net/insurance.
TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS strongly recommends that you consult with your personal physician or Passport Health at http://www.passporthealthusa.com in regards to your itinerary and required inoculations. If you have any medical condition or allergy that may interfere with your trip, you are required to complete a “Medical Waiver” and your physician must certify that you are fit to travel. Failure to complete and return this waiver to TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS may result in cancellation of your tour without a refund. In absence of a waiver, TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS deems that you are fit to travel.
TOUR PRICE EXCLUSIONS
Your tour price does not include: Air transportation (unless specifically stated as included); costs and fees to obtain or extend your passport/s; visa fees and processing fees; inoculations and vaccinations (if required); health certificate; airport taxes and country departure taxes (if applicable); all items of a personal nature including alcoholic beverages, meals not specified in the itinerary, any gratuities, excess baggage charges, cancellation, health, accident and baggage insurance, any transfers not specified in the itinerary, and any items not specifically listed as included.
SCHEDULE OF ADDITIONAL FEES
TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS reserves the right to take photographs during the operation of any program and to use resulting photographs for promotional purposes. Any tour passengers who prefer that their images not be used are asked to notify their tour escort at the beginning of the program.
RESPONSIBILITY–LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TRAVBUZZ INC. / PALACE TOURS LTD. and all affiliates (herein referred to as “TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS”) act only in the capacity as an agent for the hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines, and/or contractors providing accommodations, transportation or other services to the passenger. The passenger is advised that TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS purchases such transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers who are not affiliated with TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS. TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS makes every effort to select the best suppliers of the aforementioned services, however, TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS does not control the operations of these agents and as a result, CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR OTHER CLAIM which may occur as the result of any and/or all of the following: (1) the wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omissions on the part of the independent supplier, agent, its employees or others who are not under the direct control or supervision of TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS; (2) defects or failures of any vessel, aircraft, vehicle or other instrumentality which is under the control of an independent supplier; or (3) loss, injury or damage to person, property or otherwise, resulting directly or indirectly from any Acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, or wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, medical epidemics, quarantines, or customs regulation, defaults, delays or cancellations or alterations in itinerary due to schedule changes, or from any causes beyond TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS’s control. Further, TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from insufficient or improperly issued passports, visas or other legal documents. All coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets issued by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS are issued subject to any and all tariffs, terms, and conditions under which any services are provided by such hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines or owners or contractors or by any person in their employ. TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS in no way guarantees the quality, authenticity, or value of any good(s) purchased by the passenger during any tour. TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS shall in no event be responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages arising from your interaction with any retailer/vendor, and TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any resulting loss or damage.
RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS (when deemed necessary) reserves the right to: (1) cancel any itinerary or any part of it; (2) make any alterations to the itinerary (including but not limited to substitution of hotels, attractions, destinations, and the order of the itinerary) taking into consideration the practicality of the itinerary or to accommodate any unforeseen issues that may arise on the ground; and (3) decline to accept or to retain any person as a tour passenger should such person’s health, mental or physical condition, in the sole opinion of TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS, impede the operation of the tour of the other passengers. Tour passengers are held responsible for being in sufficient good health to undertake the tour. If a passenger is asked to leave while the tour is in progress, that person will be responsible for charges incurred on account of such departure from the tour and/or return to his/her home country. In such a case, TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS will not refund any monies. For Group Tours where feasible Palace Tours tries and operate every tour with minimum of 1 passenger. The company reserves the right to cancel any tour without notice before the tour and refund the money in full and is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages to the guest due to such an action.TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS will accept no further liability or obligation toward that person or third party.
TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS is not responsible for any errors, omissions or misquotes contained in this document or any other accompanying promotional documentation. The contents of said document or promotional documentation may be changed anytime (including but not limited to rates and itinerary) without notice and at TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS’ sole discretion.
IT IS SPECIALLY AGREED THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS ENTERED INTO IN MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP NEW JERSEY, IN THE EVENT ANY LEGAL OR EQUITABLE ACTION IS BROUGHT AGAINST TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS CONERNING THE INTERPRETATION, ENFORCEMENT OR BREACH OF ANY TERM, OBLIGATION OR DUTY AS CONTAINED OR RELATED TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THISDOCUMENT, OR PURSUANT TO FEDERAL LAW, STATUTE OR TREATY TO WHICH THE UNITED STATES IS A SIGNATORY, THE VENUE OF SUCH ACTION SHALL LIE EXCLUSIVELY IN NEW JERSEY CHOICE OF LAW.

General Conditions for ALL Tren Ecuador products
Modi?cations to itineraries
TrenEcuador reserves the right to make changes in the itinerary of their products in cases of force majeure and/or to safeguard the safety of passengers. Should TrenEcuador require to perform such changes, TrenEcuador will modify the itinerary as little as possible. In such cases, or those in which TrenEcuador is unable to meet the itinerary, TrenEcuador may grant the compensation it considers necessary and possible to its customers. TrenEcuador highly recommends to separately purchasing a travel insurance.
"Force majeure" is understood as an event that can not be anticipated or prevented by FEEP or its suppliers and may be (but are not limited to): natural disasters, adverse weather conditions or ?res, volcanic activity, tsunamis or ?oods, disruption by landslides or earthquakes, pandemics or epidemics, terrorist acts or acts by a third party, governmental decisions, popular demonstrations or social unrest, road closures and / or risk factors upon which a state entity prohibits entry into a speci?c area, among others.
TrenEcuador will notify by writing (email or similar) its decision to cancel a departure. TrenEcuador will offer an alternate date or a 100% refund. If the noti?cation was issued between 60 to 3 days prior to departure, TrenEcuador will offer the passenger an alternate date, taking the actions it consider necessary – according to TrenEcuador discretion – to accommodate passengers into a new travel date; TrenEcuador might also opt to offer a 100% refund. Such actions may never exceed 50% of the total amount paid for the trip.
If the cancellation occurs 3 days or less prior to departure, FEEP will provide an alternate itinerary as close to the original as possible and will take the required actions it considers necessary. TrenEcuador may also opt for a 100% refund. In all cases, TrenEcuador will provide all the assistance customers may require.
Suppliers and written/electronic information
TrenEcuador does not possess hotels, restaurants or other establishments and/or means of transportation other than trains and its stations, and neither does not have any control over natural areas that are included in the itinerary. Therefore is not responsible for the permanence in time of such suppliers. Itineraries, schedules, stops and services offered in our written and electronic itineraries are subject to change without prior notice. The contents of our catalogs and/or website are as close to reality as possible, however TrenEcuador is not responsible, and can not be liable, for their accuracy or decisions based on such itineraries that may or may not produce any costs or money losses.
FEEP understands that in order to take a trip, the passenger is in perfect physical and mental health. The routes FEEP operates go from zero to 4,000 meters above sea level. If you have a condition that is aggravated by altitude, ask your health care professional before deciding to take a trip. FEEP does not admit women who are in their 30th week of pregnancy. For reasons of equipment, itinerary and activities, FEEP does not accept infants (less than 2 years of age at the time of travel) on board its trains under any circumstances.
People with reduce mobility
It is our desire that people with disabilities can ENJOY all our products. However, passengers requiring permanent use of a wheelchair should consult our sales agents in order to know which product is suitable for them. Many of our products include visits to remote locations, or hiking in areas with uneven terrain or accessible only with steps.
TrenEcuador can provide options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, seafood-free, lactose-free, nut-free diets. Ecuador´s cuisine is highly varied. In case of a diet not listed in this document, please notify our sales and customer executives when con?rming your journey.
